To Celebrate RizeNexus coming out of Beta they have sponsored another CUP
 
The Sign ups for the RizeNexus Out of Beta cup will be open for another 2 weeks
 
This is because of the number of teams currently in the event is below the amount needed to run it

The RizeNexus Challenge Cup Sign Ups Start Sunday Night
 
RIZENEXUS Have sponsored a series of events on The-Tournament
 
The Events are aimed initially at 5v5 Teams and will be in the form of a knocklout cup
 
The Prize for the first one is £50. The-Tournament and RizeNexus are in the process of sorting the rules and the maps for the event
 
Get your team ready because Sign Ups will open on Sunday Night and will run for 4 weeks.

Site is now Fully Operational Again

   Update on our current position

The-Tournament site has been restored on its new hosting account. We have cleared the damaged pages and we are back to full functionality. The forums are working again and logins are all back in sync.

The downside is the databases have been rolled back to May 16th.

If you joined the site After May 16th you will need to re-register and for this we apologise.

On a plus point The-Tournament is pleased to announce a new sponsor to the site. RIZENEXUS are going to be taking part in a few events.

The planned events will start with a 5v5 Knockout event. Sign ups will open soon for this.

Events and Things
Just a quick note to say where we are at the moment
 
The-Tournament is currently in talks with 3 sponsors regarding future events
Things have been a little slow since xmas with one thing or another but all that is changing over this next month
 
We are pleased to announce 1 event to start at the end of April
Its a 5v5 knockout event with a £50 winner takes all prize
 
Hopefully the Frag Fest or Kill Frenzy Death Match Events will resume although they will follow a new format. The lack of sponsors for this event means we are looking into entry fee's to get the prize money
 
There will no longer be the qualifier rounds it will be 1 match lasting 30 mins or an hour. £2.50 entry with the top 3 taking minimum prizes of £25, £15, £5. The actual prizes are due to be worked out. The match sign ups will remain open until 30 players have paid the entry fee
Once this is done the match will be ran within a week and the winners paid out

Team Match Servers - Each Team can enter their match servers
This is displayed on their team page and allows easy access to SourceTV and ip's for matches
 
To add a Match Server click Team Admin in the My Account Details Menu on the right
Then Click Edit Team to the right of the team you want to add servers to
Then Click Edit Match Servers and Follow the onscreen instructions.

Welcome to The-Tournament
The-Tournament has plans to become a major force in online gaming. Offering events that will appeal to the highest skilled players down to the lowest.
Thanks to a unique stats system, currently being implimented, each player appearing in an event on The-Tournament will be rated according to their skills using various weapons, gameplay and teamplay. This will rank all teams and players and allow The-Tournament to aim events at specific skill levels so players are up against equal skilled players/teams.
 
The-Tournament Steam Community
The-Tournament already has one of the largest STEAM groups in the community boasting over 30,000 members. Please join our STEAM community and keep up to date with the latest news, events and happenings as you play your favourite STEAM game.
 
The-Tournament IRC Channel
The-Tournament also has an active IRC channel - #The-Tournament on Quakenet
You are free to idle and perform this channel to contact admins during events, keep up to date on the latest news and arrange mixes with other teams idling the channel
 
The-Tournament Public Servers
There are a number of public servers online 24/7. These servers already have a good community playing them. All servers have full HLSTATSX ingame and have fun mods running to make gameplay more exciting. The full server list and links to the HLSTATSX section can be found in the left hand menu under CSS
The public servers are all Quad Core (Q9300) - 2.5Ghz - 6mb L2 Cache - 4 gig RAM 1333FSB - SATA HDD's
There are 24/7 TwoTowers Death Match, Office, Italy and Dust2 Servers and a rotation server with popular warm up maps on it.
 
The-Tournament Match Servers
The Match Servers are all stripped of all plugins, mods and anything that will cause lag, lack of reg and spoil the gameplay. There are 5 Match Servers used for events. These are available for use by teams as training servers and PCW's To use a Match Server please contact Hitman/Admin.
 
The-Tournament Events
All events ran on The-Tournament will be overseen by an admin from The-Tournament. The events are all themed and will be open to all who wish to partake.
